Overland Solar

Rudolph Libbe Group’s solar company, GEM Energy, in partnership with The Greater Toledo Community Foundation (TCF), developed a solar array, located in Toledo’s Overland Industrial Park, that generates clean, renewable electricity for the 300,000 sf axle assembly operation of Dana Incorporated Toledo Driveline facility, while investing hundreds of thousands of dollars annually into the neighboring community. The two arrays on a north and south site are built on property that housed the former Jeep manufacturing plant and is unsuitable for commercial or residential use. The solar array—consisting of the latest power-generation technologies—generates enough power to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide by more than 3,000 tons—which is the equivalent of removing 465 cars from the roadways every year.

The Rudolph Libbe Group is a single-source provider of multiple self-perform construction and facility services. Its companies include Rudolph Libbe Inc., GEM Inc., GEM Energy, and Rudolph Libbe Properties.
