Established in 1897, Kraus-Anderson is an integrated construction management and real estate development enterprise working independently and collaborating with a family of companies and services, including facilities assessment, K-12 pre-referendum planning, strategic facility planning, sustainability, and insurance operations. Kraus-Anderson, an EOE AA M/F/Vet/Disability employer, is headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota. We have regional offices in Madison and Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Fargo and Bismarck, North Dakota, Duluth, Bemidji, and Rochester, Minnesota, and Phoenix, Arizona-based Sonoran Crest Construction, a 20-year-old firm with an established brand and healthcare presence in the southwest U.S.  This is the first acquisition of another company in KA Construction’s history (Arizona license No. ROC102058).

Our integrated development and construction expertise and collaborative approach bring comprehensive guidance to take our clients from their initial vision through successful project delivery, from conceptualization, cost, and financing considerations through preconstruction planning, construction management, project closeout, and ongoing maintenance.

From minor tenant improvements and remodels to major new construction and expansions, our project portfolio represents experience in virtually every area of commercial construction. Although we manage a variety of project delivery formats, these methods allow for the early involvement of all key team members to provide information that will enhance the team’s ability to make sound decisions and provide the best solutions to meet our client’s needs.

Kraus-Anderson believes in giving back to the communities that have given so much to us, and we participate wholeheartedly in programs and activities that provide for those in need. Our employee-driven teambuilding and community service program, KA Has Heart, provides opportunities for KAers to provide volunteer assistance to selected nonprofits during their working hours. In addition, Kraus-Anderson provides dollar and in-kind support to numerous other causes and organizations throughout the year, focusing on organizations serving healthcare and education.

We are passionate about our industry and committed to inspiring that passion in promising young people. We have commitments with numerous partners focused on exposing youth to opportunities in the construction professions and trades. In addition, our college internship program provides important hands-on, skills-based learning opportunities for university-level students. These partnerships and programs reflect our ongoing dedication to providing early, real-world experience and insight to students from all backgrounds.
