The $300M Maintenance Base & Operations Infrastructure project is a three-phase GC/CM located in Lakewood, WA. The base serves the entire bus fleet of Pierce Transit and over 100 Sound Transit vehicles. The project increases parking and maintenance capacity of the existing base, while also bringing the facilities up to contemporary safety and operation standards. Work includes renovation, additions, and new construction, along with the demolition of several buildings. All activities are taking place in and around Pierce Transit’s existing facility, which is maintaining normal operations and activities.
