Pacific Plaza, a public/private partnership between the City of Tacoma and Pacific Plaza LLC, consisted of one additional floor of parking and two new floors of Class-A office space atop a City-owned parking structure which underwent major structural and interior renovations. The new floors were constructed of structural steel and utilize castellated beam technology. The building encompasses 256,892 SF including ground-level retail, 483 parking stalls and multiple office spaces. Absher was also contracted for tenant improvements for seven of the building’s occupants. Pacific Plaza was the first core and shell project in Washington State to be certified LEED® Platinum.
